Preparing an interactive quest to explore the sights of Ivano-Frankivsk

On February 15, students of groups SOI–21 and SOI–22 of the specialty 014 Secondary Education (History) of the Bachelor’s degree program, Olga Matkovska and Vita Mykhailyshyn, while undergoing industrial historical and local history practice at the Small Academy of Sciences of Student Youth of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council and the Stepan Bandera Center for Patriotic Student Youth of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council, began work on creating a cognitive quest for students of the “Religious Studies” section of the MANUM and the “NMT for 200” group of the Central Ukrainian State University of Music and Drama (head – Yuriy Ivanovych Demyaniv).

As part of the preparation, they visited the iconic historical, architectural, cultural, church, and religious monuments of Ivano-Frankivsk, including the Cathedral of the Holy Resurrection (Cathedral), the Bastion fortress gallery, the Town Hall and other cultural heritage sites. During the tour, the students studied the history of each location in detail, analyzed possible tasks for participants and chose the most interesting routes.

One of the features of the future quest will be the use of QR codes. This will allow participants to receive additional information about the selected objects, view historical references and complete interactive tasks using smartphones. This format will not only make the game more exciting, but will also contribute to the development of research skills among young people.

Work on the quest continues, and soon the students of the section and the circle will be able to try themselves in an exciting journey through the cultural, church, and religious monuments of the city!
