Visit to the University of the Head of the World Coordinating Educational Council of the World Congress of Ukrainians, Lyubov Lyubchyk

On February 12–13, 2025, a graduate of the Faculty of Philology of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, and currently the head of the World Coordination Educational Council of the World Congress of Ukrainians, Lyubov Lyubchyk, visited Ivano-Frankivsk. During the meeting with the acting rector of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, Ihor Tsependa, and the dean of the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations, Ihor Hurak, Lyubov Lyubchyk expressed gratitude for the previous cooperation in the context of work on the Information and Methodological Guide to the History of Ukraine to help teachers of the diaspora and shared her thoughts on the prospects for further interaction with the participation of teachers of the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations and the Faculty of Philology. Speaking about the changing situation in the Ukrainian diaspora after February 24, 2022, Lyubov Lyubchyk spoke about the new challenges facing the World Congress of Ukrainians, including the significant increase in the number of our compatriots abroad who do not speak Ukrainian.

For his part, the acting rector of the university, Ihor Tsependa, thanked Lyubov Lyubchyk for the useful and relevant initiative aimed at strengthening work with Ukrainian children who, for various reasons, but primarily due to Russian aggression, were forced to leave Ukraine. He emphasized that educational and scientific international projects are one of the key priorities within the framework of the activities of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. Recalling the International Scientific Center “Observatory” on Mount Pip Ivan and the ongoing construction of the International Center for Meetings of Student Youth of Ukraine and the Republic of Poland, Igor Tsependa focused on the growing opportunities for implementing new interesting initiatives, including in the context of training / advanced training of teachers of Ukrainian schools abroad.
