Instructional conference on organizing the implementation of production pedagogical practice at school for 4th year students

On January 30, 2025, using the Google Meet conference organization service, an orientation conference was held on the organization of industrial pedagogical practice in secondary education institutions for students of the 4th year of the specialty 014 Secondary Education (History) of the Bachelor’s degree program (full-time and part-time). It is aimed at specific professionalization and increases the opportunities for self-realization of future teachers, mobilizes personal potential and reveals the student’s hidden abilities, ensures the emergence of ideas in the situation of solving a pedagogical problem, helps to realize and feel satisfaction from one’s own activities.

The meeting was led by the head of the practice, candidate of historical sciences, leading specialist of the Institute of History, Ethnology and Archaeology of the Carpathians Bohdan Paska, who first gave the floor to the candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor of the Bohdan Stuparyk Department of Pedagogy and Educational Management of the Faculty of Pedagogy Vira Kovalchuk. The teacher expressed meaningful considerations regarding the technological process of students’ industrial practice in terms of conducting educational activities. The specified component of the practice serves as the basis for further consolidation and deepening of the general pedagogical training of student interns.

After that, Bohdan Paska highlighted the main areas of work of a teacher-intern at the school, his rights and obligations. The teacher noted that the student practice program was developed in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education”, the “Regulations on the Organization and Conduct of Practice at the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University of April 28, 2023, the “Development Strategy of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University” for 2020–2027”, the curriculum of the specialty and qualification characteristics, the educational program, instructions on labor protection and the environment, the Cross-cutting practice program of the specialty 014 Secondary Education (History) of the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations. B.V. Paska noted that during pedagogical practice, the knowledge of students of the specialty 014 Secondary Education (History) of the Bachelor’s degree program deepens and consolidates on the introduction to the specialty, psychology, pedagogy, modern educational technologies, methods of teaching history, methods of teaching social science subjects, other professional subjects, as well as knowledge gained during educational practice in educational institutions (introductory) and two previous production pedagogical practices. During the practice, pedagogical work skills are developed, and the formed methodological skills are improved. Bogdan Valeriyovych highlighted the features of pedagogical practice, the competencies that the current teacher should operate with.

We believe that the student’s mastery of professional experience will occur with the ability to evaluate and analyze the actions of the teacher (lecturer), students in the lesson and after school. A young teacher-intern will develop a creative approach to pedagogical and pedagogical-research activities; will be able to correctly record written results of observations and maintain reporting documentation.
