The Scientific and Technical Council session is underway at PNU

From January 28 to 30, 2025, the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University will host a session of the Scientific and Technical Council dedicated to summing up the results of scientific activity for 2024. The first vice-rector Valentyna Yakubiv, heads of faculties, educational and scientific institutes, centers, laboratories and the Scientific Library, who presented the results of the work of their units, attended the event.

The discussions cover a wide range of issues, including publication activity, participation in international research projects, organization of scientific events, as well as the introduction of innovative developments in various fields of education and science.

Special attention was paid to the analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the scientific activity of structural units.

Leading specialist of the Institute of History, Ethnology and Archaeology of the Carpathians Bohdan Paska presented for consideration by the Scientific and Technical Council a report on the work and achievements of the Institute for 2024. The report of the structural unit was supported and approved by the council.

Among the key achievements, an increase in the number of publications in prestigious scientometrics databases, increased international cooperation, and increased student participation in research were noted. At the same time, problematic aspects are also discussed, such as further integration of research results into the real sector of the economy and the involvement of young scientists.

The summary made it possible to outline areas of further work and plan new research. The joint work of university scientists contributes to the improvement of research activities and the development of innovative approaches in teaching and science.
