On February 12, Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University hospitably opened its doors to high school students as part of Stefanyk Info Day. The event was a great opportunity for future applicants to get to know the university, learn more about the academic programs, and experience the real atmosphere of student life.
Acting Rector of the university, Ihor Tsependa, addressed the guests with a welcoming speech: “Our University is not only the oldest, but also one of the highest-rated in the country. More than 17 thousand students study here, who receive high-quality education, participate in international programs, and gain unique experience, I invite you to get to know our opportunities better – I am convinced that you will want to become part of the large university family!”.
Stefanyk Info Day participants visited various interactive locations.
The Faculty of Physics and Engineering surprised the guests with impressive physical experiments, acquaintance with smart systems, and modern laboratories.
The Faculty of Psychology prepared art therapy, psychological games and testing of VR glasses.
The Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations offered quests, business games, master classes in negotiations and an archaeological exhibition. Teachers and students of the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations organized interesting interactive locations for potential applicants.
The general coordination of the work of the Faculty was carried out by Bohdan Paska, who is responsible for conducting career guidance work, associate professor of the Department of History of Ukraine and History Teaching Methods. Associate professors of the Department of Ethnology and Archaeology Oksana Drohobytska, Svitlana Boyan-Hladka, senior lecturer Igor Kochkin, who organized an ethnographic exhibition and held a master class on making a motanka doll, represented the specialty «History and Archaeology». Specialist Volodymyr Saganyuk demonstrated a numismatic exhibition for applicants, and Liliya Burachok, an associate professor of the Department of World History, helped organize interactive activities. Students of the specialty “Secondary Education (History)” under the guidance of associate professors Bohdan Paska and Andriy Mishchuk organized an interesting quiz for the guests of the holiday on solving riddles on the history of Ukraine.
The departments of political science, international relations and international economic relations offered interesting interactive activities for senior students. Associate professor of the Department of Political Science Olena Berezovska-Chmil conducted interesting political games and quizzes. Associate professor of the Department of International Relations Orest Boychuk and students organized a master class on conducting interstate negotiations. Representatives of the Department of International Economic Relations – associate professor Iryna Sernyak and Professor Liliya Mykhailyshyn – managed to conduct an interesting game on the topic of business. Considerable assistance in organizing career guidance conversations with students was provided by the head of the Department of International Relations, Nataliya Stetsyuk, associate professor of the same department, Petro Havrylyshyn; associate professors of the Department of Foreign Languages and Translation, Yaryna Bytkivska, Iryna Tymkiv, Oksana Semak, as well as other teachers and students of the faculty.
In total, the teachers and students of the faculty managed to conduct career guidance conversations with several dozen potential applicants. The event was distinguished by its atmosphere and great excitement among the guests of the University.
