Specialty “Secondary Education (History)” at Stefanyk Info Day

On February 12, Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University hospitably opened its doors to high school students as part of Stefanyk Info Day. The event was a great opportunity for future applicants to get to know the university, learn more about the academic programs, and experience the real atmosphere of student life.

Acting Rector of the university, Ihor Tsependa, addressed the guests with a welcoming speech: “Our University is not only the oldest, but also one of the highest-rated in the country. More than 17 thousand students study here, who receive high-quality education, participate in international programs, and gain unique experience, I invite you to get to know our opportunities better – I am convinced that you will want to become part of the large university family!”

Stefanyk Info Day participants visited various interactive locations. The Faculty of History, Political Science, and International Relations offered quests, business games, negotiation workshops, and an archaeological exhibition. Teachers and students of the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations organized interesting interactive locations for potential applicants.

The general coordination of the work of the Faculty was carried out by Bohdan Paska, who is responsible for conducting career guidance work, a leading specialist of the Institute of History, Ethnology and Archaeology of the Carpathians. Students of the specialty “Secondary Education (History)” Nataliya Shepitak, Liliya Basista, Viktoriya Trinchuk, Olena Kulakevych, Khrystyna Melnyk, Avgustina Pyshnyuk and Angelina Steflyuk, under the leadership of Associate Professor Bohdan Paska, organized an interesting quiz for the guests of the holiday on solving riddles from the history of Ukraine. Students Diana Zobkiv and Viktoriya Mochernyuk ensured the presence of students from Lyceum No. 21 of Ivano-Frankivsk.

A representative delegation of faculty teachers, headed by Deputy Dean, Associate Professor of the Department of History of Ukraine and History Teaching Methods Andriy Mishchuk, joined the event. The technical side of the holiday was helped by the assistant of the department Bohdan Savchuk and senior laboratory assistant Ivanna Paliychuk.

In total, the faculty teachers and students managed to conduct career orientation conversations with several dozen potential applicants. The event was distinguished by its atmosphere and great excitement among the university guests.
