During the end of September – beginning of October 2024, the leading specialist of the Institute of History, Ethnology and Archaeology of the Carpathians Bohdan Paska, as an expert of the expert commission on history of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, carried out a professional examination of educational and methodological materials for teachers of the international organization IREX (International Research and Exchanges Council) “Information and Media Literacy in History Lessons of Ukraine. Grade 10” of the team of authors of the project “Learn and Distinguish: Information and Media Literacy in Education”.
Paska’s expert opinion contains comments on the identified logical contradictions, factual errors, discrepancies with the current curriculum of the “History of Ukraine” course for grade 10, grammatical and technical errors, etc. As a result, it was proposed to send the educational and methodological materials for revision, taking into account the expert’s comments and recommendations.
