On April 4, 2025, teachers and a student of the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University visited 11th grade students of the Broshniv-Osada Lyceum of the Broshniv-Osada Village Council of the Kalush District with a career guidance mission. During the meeting, the head of the Department of International Economic Relations Liliya Mykhailyshyn, associate professor of the same department Iryna Sernyak, assistant professor of the Department of History of Ukraine and Methods of Teaching History Bohdan Savchuk, and a 4th-year undergraduate student of the specialty “International Relations, Public Communications and Regional Studies” Tetyana Chuyko familiarized the students with a wide range of educational programs of the faculty. Lyceum students were presented with the opportunities for studying in the following specialties: “Secondary Education (History and Civic Education)”, “History and Archaeology”, “Political Science”, “Political Science. National Security”, “International Relations, Public Communications and Regional Studies”, “International Economic Relations”, “International Business Management”.
Students had the opportunity to learn more about the achievements, key areas of activity and development prospects of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. Faculty teachers introduced high school students to the features of the organization of the educational process, international cooperation of the university and extracurricular student life. As part of the event, a video about the university and a presentation of the aforementioned educational programs of the faculty were presented. Lyceum students received comprehensive information about the admission requirements, benefits of study and opportunities for further employment of graduates.
High school students also joined the international educational project “Girls Go Circular”. Iryna Sernyak, associate professor of the Department of International Economic Relations, conducted it. This European project, implemented in Ukraine by Junior Achievement Ukraine, aims to develop digital and entrepreneurial skills in girls aged 14–19. Participants master the basics of the circular economy, learn to think creatively, work in a team and find solutions to modern challenges. The program also contributes to the popularization of STEM disciplines among girls, overcoming gender stereotypes in science and technology and fulfilling the goals of EU digital education. All participants receive certificates based on the results of their studies. Such meetings not only contribute to the popularization of the university among young people, but also create strong partnerships between educational institutions for the common goal of a high-quality future for Ukrainian youth.
