On February 1, 2025, a cognitive excursion trip of students of the specialty 014 Secondary Education (History) of the OR “Bachelor” to the city of Chernivtsi took place under the guidance of teachers of the Department of History of Ukraine and Methods of Teaching History Oleh Yegreshiy and Bohdan Paska. More than 10 students of the 2nd and 4th years who expressed a desire to visit the capital of Bukovina took part in the trip. During the trip, the Residence of the Metropolitans of Bukovina and Dalmatia, which is under the protection of UNESCO, was visited. During the excursion, students and teachers were acquainted with the main halls of the residence, the church and the dendrological park near the monument. During the visit to the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations of the Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, Anna Mykhailivna Skoreyko, Associate Professor of the Department of History of Ukraine, conducted an interesting excursion for students. She told about the history of the faculty, the key vicissitudes of the functioning of the premises as the Bukovyna Regional Sejm in the late 19th – early 20th centuries, individual pages of the national liberation movement in Bukovina, the vicissitudes of the Soviet occupation, and introduced the modern life of the faculty.
During an interesting journey through the historical center of the city, the students are acquainted with the architectural buildings of the Austrian and Romanian periods of Chernivtsi history. It was decided to visit the museum of the Ukrainian writer Olga Kobylyanska, where a fascinating excursion was held for students and teachers to the main vicissitudes of the life path of the famous Bukovinian, familiarized with her worldview, ideological and political beliefs, as well as literary creativity. Visitors were able to immerse themselves in the everyday life of Olga Kobylyanska and have fruitful conversations with the museum guides.
With great mood and emotions, as well as the desire to return to Bukovina in the future, the students returned to their native city of Ivano-Frankivsk.
