On January 31, 2025, at the Kolomyia Educational and Scientific Institute of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, Iryna Sernyak, Associate Professor of the Department of International Economic Relations of the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations, conducted a training on the circular economy (Girls Go Circular) from the JA Ukraine organization for female students of this educational institution. Students also attended the event from two Kolomyia lyceums – No. 2 and No. 9.
Within the framework of this educational project, using game methods, the participants learned about the features of a closed-loop economy, about digital and entrepreneurial skills that are necessary for both personal and “business life”, about the basics of financial literacy and had the opportunity to develop their own business projects. Based on the results of the training, the participants received international certificates of completion of the training within the Girls Go Circular course.
At the end of the event, Halyna Voloshchuk, Director of the Educational and Scientific Center for Professional Career and Education of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, spoke about the structure of the higher education institution, specialties, and admission requirements for 2025, and Liliya Mykhailyshyn, Head of the Department of International Economic Relations, emphasized the advantages of studying in the educational programs “International Economic Relations” and “International Business Management”. What is especially pleasing is that those present were interested in studying at the University.
Such synergy in cooperation gave the students the opportunity to gain new progressive knowledge, which is confirmed by the issued certificates, to see in practice how the University’s teachers work, and in general to obtain information about the opportunities of the PNU.
We thank for cooperation and assistance in the organization: Halyna Voloshchuk, Director of the Educational and Scientific Center for Professional Career and Education; Olga Slipanyuk, Director of the Kolomyia Educational and Scientific Institute; Oksana Poyasyk, Head of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of the Kolomyia Educational and Scientific Institute.
